When we opened Luce e Limoni in 2013, our aim was simple: to bring you the very best of Sicilian cuisine. No, London Italian restaurants are not all the same.
Over a decade after opening our doors, our goal remains unchanged; and it all begins with the story of our owner and head chef, Fabrizio Zafarana.
Fabrizio’s journey with food began early. At just 13 years old, in his native Sicily, he stepped into a professional kitchen for the first time, and he never looked back. His passion for authentic Italian and Sicilian cooking led him to train as a professional chef in Italy, before moving to the UK’s capital in 1983 to follow his dream of running his own Sicilian Italian restaurant in London.
After spending ten years working in some of the city’s busiest kitchens, Fabrizio opened his first restaurant in 1996. That experience eventually led to the creation of Luce e Limoni in 2013, today still a family-run restaurant built on tradition, quality and a deep respect for Sicilian food culture.
Inspired by the flavours of Sicily and the Mediterranean, the dishes in our menu at Luce e Limoni Italian restaurant feature only the finest ingredients. We focus on using locally sourced, organic produce wherever possible to create dishes that celebrate Fabrizio’s heritage with a modern touch. From handmade pasta to freshly baked bread, everything is prepared in-house by our skilled team of ten professionals, using the highest-quality ingredients.
Of course, no meal is complete without the right wine. That’s why our wine list features selections almost entirely from Sicily and the Italian mainland, offering guests the chance to enjoy a truly authentic pairing with their meal.
