A good food and wine pairing gives you more to enjoy in both the dish and the glass. With our Prosecco DOC & Grana Padano Celebration Menu, we’re exploring that relationship from the first spoonful to the final course. Join us at Luce e Limoni from 17–30 October 2026 for an autumn menu that brings together savoury richness, seasonal flavours and a little Italian sparkle.
At our family-run Sicilian restaurant on Gray’s Inn Road, chef-owner Fabrizio Zafarana brings years of experience and generous Italian hospitality to the table. This celebration is another opportunity to enjoy that approach, with familiar ingredients taking on some deliciously unexpected roles.
The wine accompanying these pairings is Prosecco DOC Villa Sandi “Fresco”. Its fresh acidity, delicate fruit and gentle bubbles make it an inviting companion to the dishes, complementing some flavours while providing a refreshing contrast to others.
Our celeriac and Prosecco velouté is a lovely place to begin. The celeriac brings an earthy sweetness and velvety texture, while Grana Padano croutons and toasted almonds add savoury flavour and crunch. A sip of Prosecco refreshes the palate between spoonfuls, balancing the soup’s richness and allowing its delicate flavours to shine.
For a different start, cured Italian ham meets peppery rocket, shaved Grana Padano and a Prosecco and honey melon jelly. There’s plenty happening on the plate, from the saltiness of the ham to the fruity sweetness of the jelly. Villa Sandi “Fresco” draws those elements together, its freshness balancing the cheese and ham while its delicate fruit complements the melon.
The main courses continue that conversation between food and wine. Our turmeric risotto combines roasted butternut squash with the creamy richness of Grana Padano and Prosecco. The wine’s acidity offers a refreshing contrast to the risotto, while its gentle fruitiness complements the squash’s natural sweetness and the warm, earthy turmeric.
Alternatively, roast pollock arrives with a fresh dill and Grana Padano crust, a light orange zest and Prosecco sauce, and mashed potato. Here, the wine’s light character allows the fish to take centre stage, while its citrus-friendly freshness complements the sauce and lifts the richness of the crust.
Dessert gives Grana Padano another chance to surprise you. Our panna cotta pairs its creamy, subtly savoury character with refreshing Prosecco sorbet. Meanwhile, caramelised Grana Padano cheesecake combines toasted sugar, rich cheese and the delicate fruitiness of Prosecco-poached pear. These are sweet finishes with a little individuality, and a tempting reason to make room for a third course.
Enjoy two courses for £29.50 or three courses for £32.50, and order a glass of Villa Sandi “Fresco” to explore the pairings for yourself. Whether you’re joining us for a leisurely catch-up or a special meal together, we look forward to welcoming you to our corner of Sicily in London.
